What a cycle estimate can—and can’t—tell you
A way to organize time, not a window into your sleep.
Reviewed September 7, 2026 · BedtimePilotA simple calculation
BedtimePilot subtracts your chosen number of cycles from your wake-up goal, then allows time for settling in and winding down. You can adjust the cycle length and count.
Planned is not measured
A 90-minute planning reference does not mean each of your actual sleep cycles lasts 90 minutes. The website does not observe sleep stages or promise a perfect wake-up moment.
Leave enough time
Do not reduce your sleep opportunity just to fit a certain number of cycles. Choose a plan that leaves adequate time for you, and treat the result as an arrangement you can change.
