Enter the time you need to wake tomorrow. The calculator works backward through your selected planning duration, the time you usually need to fall asleep, and the wind-down window you want before bed. Compare several choices, then keep the wake-up goal fixed while adjusting the evening until it fits your real schedule.

Build tonight’s timeline
Sleep cycles vary from person to person and across the night. We use 90 minutes as a planning reference, not a measurement of your actual sleep stages.
Getting into bed and falling asleep are separate checkpoints. First subtract the desired sleep opportunity from tomorrow's alarm. Then allow time to settle before that sleep target. The earlier wind-down checkpoint budgets for preparation outside bed; it should not consume the sleep duration you selected.
Check the proposed bedtime against dinner, caregiving and unfinished work. If those commitments run past it, identify what can move or be shortened. A calculated timestamp describes the opportunity available; it cannot establish when you will actually fall asleep.
Important limitations
Results are planning estimates based on your times and adjustable settings. They do not detect sleep stages and are not medical advice. Do not reduce your sleep opportunity just to match a cycle count. Seek professional care for persistent sleepiness or sleep-health concerns.

Two ways to apply the plan
Leave room between entering bed and sleep
A ten-minute settling allowance means entering bed ten minutes before the sleep target. Increasing the allowance moves getting into bed earlier while preserving both the alarm and the planned sleep duration.
Handle an evening that finishes late
Compare the proposed get-into-bed time with the end of your last responsibility. Prepare clothes or breakfast earlier where practical, and review the remaining sleep opportunity before accepting a later bedtime.
